FACTS ABOUT THE MOVES OF GOD (3) - GENESIS 1:1-2, JUDE 17-20.
Without the moves of God, we will be preys to Satan. It is the move of God that snaps the snare of the devil and breaks it open so that we can escape. Our escapes in life are connected to the moves of God that come our way. One day, one of our ministry’s senior associates was traveling back to Lagos. As he parted in greetings, I didn’t know what came over me and I said he should accompany me back to my base. When we got there, there was nothing for him to do so I said, “Now, you can go to Lagos.” He was shocked. It was when he got to Lagos later that night that he heard of a horrible incidence on the highway. He calculated the time of the incidence and discovered that if he had left me at the time he first wanted to leave and headed for Lagos, he would have been caught up in the incidence. That was a move of God that delivered him from satanic appointment.
Satan operates counterfeit moves and counter moves of God. What is a counterfeit move? It is a move that takes a man away from the program and plan of God forever and hooks him up with something stupid and erratic. Some of the founders of false religions in history, at the beginning of their lives, had a move of God but they went with a counterfeit move of Satan. Nobody can have a great significant influence on earth if he does not carry a great destiny from God. What determines your legacy and what will be spoken of you are the moves that carried you on the journey of destiny. Consider Osama Bin laden, who was a global terrorist in the world and everybody talked about him. One day in eternity, you will discover that the original destiny God had for him was to be a positive global destiny but a counterfeit move of the devil was what carried him.
A counter move of Satan is designed to disconnect you from the correct move God has joined you to. Counterfeit moves can come in from your ancestry. Countermoves aim to separate you from divine moves. It was a counter move that the devil was trying to bring through Peter against Jesus which made him act as though he was so concerned about Jesus saying, “You won’t die” but Jesus said, “Get thee behind me Satan.” There are men that God had great plans for but their wives were the agents of a counter move that Satan used against them. There are women that God had great destinies for but Satan used their husbands to cage that destiny. May you not be a product of counter moves of the devil in Jesus’ name.
Prayer: Lord, I take authority over every counter move of the devil against the divine plans and program of God for my life. I receive grace to recognize and shut it down in Jesus’ name. Amen.
